Canon EOS 40D 10.1-Megapixel Digital SLR CameraI bought the camera as a birthday gift for myself. My birthday is on Sunday (April 27th) so I am not opening it until then. Well, I think I'm actually going to open it on Saturday because I'm so anxious to start playing around with it!
I know I'm not the best photographer, but I feel like this camera is going to take me to new places and give me more opportunities to show my true talent. Hopefully I can figure out how to use it over the weekend and start shooting!
I wish I had more time to go out and take pictures, and that I knew of more interesting places around my area. Anyone know of any cool spots in southwestern CT that they're willing to share? Waterfalls, abandoned buildings,...anything?

I know of a handful of waterfalls around Redding, Easton, Newtown, Trumbull, and Fairfield. My boyfriend and I are always looking for new places to take pictures. He brought me up to Kent Falls last spring and I loved it! I wish I lived closer...I would go up there every weekend! The waterfalls around here are pretty small so it was nice to be able to photograph something different for a change. What's Brewster like?
